Admissions

Illogan School is a Trust School and the governors are the admitting authority.

The school participates fully in the Local Authority’s co-ordinated admission schemes for Reception class and in-year admissions.

Details of these schemes are available on the Council’s website (www.cornwall.gov.uk/admissions ) or on request from the Local Authority (0300 1234 101). Closing dates, deadlines and timescales (including those relating to late applications) will be as stated in those schemes.

If you wish to apply for a place at Illogan School you can apply on line through Cornwall Council website (www.cornwall.gov.uk/admissions) on the appropriate Common Application Form (CAF). There is no supplementary information form required by the governors.

If you would prefer to apply with a paper form please call in to school and Helen, the school secretary, will be happy to help.

The governors will operate an equal preference scheme as defined in the School Admissions Code.  For the full admissions policy please see below.

Children with a statement of special educational needs that names Illogan School will be admitted to the school, regardless of the number on roll in the year group.

Children in care who are directed to the school by the Local Authority will be admitted to the school, regardless of the number on roll in the year group.

The published admission number (PAN) for Reception class in 2016/17 will be 30.

It is proposed that the published admission number (PAN) for Reception class in 2017/18 will be 30.

If you would like to enquire about admitting your child to Illogan School or would simply like to have a look around to help you decide if this is the school for your child, then please speak to our school secretary, Helen, either in person or on 01209 842360.
