School Council

School Council

The school council is a group of pupils elected by their fellow pupils to represent their opinions and raise any concerns within the school. Members are involved in planning events, interviewing prospective members of staff, fundraising and other important issues.

The school council represents all pupils, taking the time to listen to them and communicate their views. They feed back information and explain why things can or cannot happen.

Children get involved in decision-making. They are listened to and know that what they say counts. Council representatives gain important skills such as listening to others, putting their ideas across and working in a team.

Most importantly pupils get their voices heard!
