Religious Education (RE) is part of the core entitlement of all pupils in maintained schoolsand as such, Religious Education forms part of the Basic Curriculum. The Agreed Syllabus is the statutory mechanism by which RE is delivered by our Local Authority.

RE explores big questions about life, to find out what people believe and what difference this makes o how they live.
RE helps pupils to make sense of religion and belief, reflecting on their own ideas and ways of living.
In Reception children will meet Christianity and other faiths, as part of their growing sense of self, their own community and their place within it.
In Key Stage 1 children will learn about Christians, Jews and Muslims.
In Key Stage 2 children will learn in more depth about Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Jews.
Other religions and non-religious worldviews will be encountered through related topics during your child’s time in school.
