Writing in EYFS and KS1
Early writing in EYFS and KS1 taught through Read Write Inc. The children are taught to use the sounds that have learnt in reading to write words and then progress onto writing sentences. The children’s writing is very closely linked to their reading level to allow them time to embed the sounds that they have been learning.

In KS1 and KS2 the children have spellings to practice and learn in school and at home. We use the Spelling Shed scheme. See below for a link to the Spelling Shed website.
